W (Double U)
Tsuji, Nozomi and Ai, Kago
W (Double U) is (was) a J-pop (Japanese pop) group under the Hello! Project (H!P) name. The members are leader Tsuji Nozomi and sub-leader Ai Kago. Both of them are ex-Morning Musume and ex-Mini Moni members. Both groups under H!P as well. Tsuji and Kago were good friends since they both joined Musume at the same time as well as having the similar looks and personalities. Fans loved them and they were dubbed "The twins" because of the reasons above.

In 2004 both girls graduated from Mini moni and Morning Musume to focus on W, this group. They had 6 singles and 2 albums. A photo book called 50W and a essay book U+U=W also came from the two. Sadly as Ai Kago's 20th birthday was coming up, there 7th single and 3rd album were coming out, she was caught in Friday Magazine smoking. The legal age in Japan is 20. She was suspended for a full year and some days.

In Friday Magazine (same one), it was shown that Ai Kago was working as a tea girl/secretary for H!P. They made a statement that W would be coming back and fans cheered. Then Kago was seen with a 37 year old man and reported to be smoking again. And so her contract was canceled and W ended. In the mean time of this Tsuji Nozomi showed up in concerts as a solo artist. She had released one single on her own before moving on to a 3 person group called Gyaruru. Before there single could even be released news hit the scene that Tsuji Nozomi is pregnant and getting married. This was later confirmed true by Nozomi herself.

W may be disbanded but I hold pride in the great band they were. And just because the band is gone doesn't mean there music doesn't hold great still. These two will always be W in there fan's hearts.
